Your Beora London candle is designed to create an intentional moment of calm, energy or relaxation. With the right care, you can enjoy your candle safely while helping it burn beautifully from beginning to end.

Before Each Burn

Trim the wick.
Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to approximately 0.5cm . This helps create a cleaner, more controlled flame and reduces soot and excessive smoke.

Place it on a stable surface.
Always place your candle on a level, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, open windows and anything that could catch fire.

Let the first burn count.
For the first burn, allow the wax to melt across the surface of the candle, ideally for 2 hours. This helps establish an even melt pool and can help prevent tunnelling.

While Your Candle Is Burning

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Keep your candle away from children, pets, curtains, books and other flammable materials.

Avoid moving the candle while it is lit or while the wax is still liquid.

For the best experience, we recommend burning your candle for no more than 2 hours at a time.

When It's Time to Extinguish

Gently extinguish the flame using a candle snuffer or carefully blow it out.

Never use water to extinguish your candle.

Allow the candle and melted wax to cool completely before touching or moving it.

Once extinguished, check that the wick is centred and upright before the wax fully sets.

When Your Candle Has Finished

Don't throw away your vessel.

Our candle vessels can be refilled and given a new purpose, helping you get more from your Beora London experience while reducing unnecessary waste.

Once the candle has completely cooled, remove any remaining wax and clean the vessel using warm water. 

Your empty vessel could become a planter, storage pot, bathroom accessory or simply a beautiful piece of your home.

Candle Safety

WARNING: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children and pets. Keep away from things that can catch fire. Always burn your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface and follow the safety instructions supplied with your candle.
